In February, third year students of the Fashion Design Department of the Faculty of Arts and Creative Technologies of Vilniaus Kolegija / Higher Education Institution, together with their lecturers, took part in an educational trip to Paris. During the trip, the students and lecturers visited several unique international textile and fashion exhibitions designed to stimulate not only creativity, but also to get acquainted with fashion innovation technologies.
They explored the latest trends for Spring-Summer 2026 and sustainable solutions for more ethical fashion at the international fashion and textile exhibition Première Vision Paris 2025. The first exhibition of the fashion house Dolce&Gabbana, “Dal Cuore alle Mani” (From Heart to Hands), held on the occasion of its 40th anniversary, left a lasting impression on both teachers and students. The fashion exhibition, which took place in the Grand Palais complex of exhibition halls and museums, impressed with the craftsmanship of the Italian designers, the Sicilian theme and the creative heritage of the fashion house. Exceptional materials, intricate embroidery techniques, lighting visuals and sound effects inspired a deeper understanding of the distinctive, unique nature of contemporary haute couture.
The fashion exhibition “Louvre couture. Objets d’art, objets de mode”, held for the first time in the history at the Louvre Museum, amazed with the visual presentation of 100 legendary haute couture costumes and accessories from 45 fashion houses, and their stylistic harmony with the masterpieces of the Louvre Museum’s interior art.
The participants of the educational trip, while visiting the fashion capital of Paris, enjoyed improving their knowledge of fashion culture, contemporary trends and brought back invaluable experience, new ideas and inspiration for further creative projects.
