On 7 December, the 29th annual international fashion design event “VIRUS FASHION/VIRUS FASHION” took place at Šiauliai Athletics and Fitness Centre, which turned into a true celebration of creativity and experimentation. 14 designers from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Ukraine took part in the event, presenting their unique collections.

Students of the Fashion Design study programme of the Faculty of Arts and Creative Technologies, together with their lecturers M. Nakaite and J. Raupeliene, took part in this inspiring event. Among the participants of the event was the original collection “350p” by the graduate of the Fashion Design Department of the Faculty of Arts and Creative Technologies of Vilniaus Kolegija / Higher Education Institution, Ugne Pienė Noreikytė. This collection attracted a lot of attention due to its conceptual and bold aesthetics.

The fashion show was complemented and the atmosphere of the event was created by the performances of Kaunas dance theatre “Aura” and live music by Antanas Jasenka and percussionist Arkadiy Gotesmanas.

The sculptural installation “Polymeria” by the National Culture and Art Prize winner Eglė Rakauskaitė attracted special attention. In this artwork, the national costume was reborn in the form of modern, conceptual fashion, revealing a new approach to the synthesis of tradition and contemporary art.

This event proved that fashion is a powerful form of creativity, capable of bridging different arts and cultures, inspiring debate and providing a unique experience for participants and viewers alike.
