Teachers and students of the Department of Rhythmic Music participated in the NordPuls project

August 25-30, 2020, three lecturers of the department – Associate Professor Skirmantas Sasnauskas, lecturers Arkadij Gotesman, Vita Sasnauskienė – and 10 students of the Popular Music study programme – Jokūbas Taločka, Adomas Silevičius, Vaidas Grišmanauskas, Gabija Vareikaitė, Mindaugas Pundzius, Simonas Krukonis, Meirita Šarkytė, Roneta Saveiskytė, Augustė Raguotytė, Nojus Arbačiauskas – participated in the NordPuls Express mobility project with the Jazepas Vituolis Latvian Academy of Music (JVLMA). For the second year in a row, the project organizer Lūznava Manor brings together the jazz community of the Baltic States under one roof. Various master classes and creative workshops of ensemble music were held throughout the week. Experience was shared by JVLMA teacher Viktors Ritovs, jazz musicians Deniss Paškevičs, Lauris Amantovs, as well as teachers from Estonia Ara Yaralyan, Siim Aimla, Jaan Jaanson and our teachers Skirmantas Sasnauskas, Arkadij Gotesman, Vita Sasnauskienė (Rusaitytė). Every evening the project participants played music in Jam Session concerts, and on the last day of the project presented the prepared programmes on the big stage of the II International Jazz Festival.
