Students and Graduates of Vilniaus Kolegija / Higher Education Institution Demonstrated Their Professionalism in the Eurovision National Selection Final!

On 15 February, the final of the Eurovision Song Contest national selection took place in Kaunas Žalgiris Arena, which was broadcast live on LRT TV.

The song “Freedom” by Lukrecija Vasiliauskaitė, a second year student of the Performing Arts Department, with the stage name Amoralu, accompanied by Toma Pauraitė, a second year student of the same year, and Vaiva Vilpišauskaitė, who has just graduated from Musical Theatre as an actress, attracted a special attention. During the performance, the vocal abilities and expressive interpretation of the singer were repeatedly highlighted by the music professionals – members of the jury, and more than one of them gave her the highest score.

It is especially gratifying that another team of graduates of the Musical Theatre programme – Tomas Alenčikas – Lion Ceccah, Diana Gružauskaitė – Arkauskė and Justa Rubežiūtė, with their special piece “Canvas” and their highly professional performance, won the sympathy of not only the jury, but also of thousands of spectators.

Congratulations to Lukrecija and her singing teacher, associate professor Dalia Babilaitė – Abarė, for taking a high fifth place, and to Toma for reaching the superfinals and narrowly missing out on the overall selection of this competition.

We are proud of you!
