The Nordic Guitar Teachers’ Forum, sponsored by NordPuls, took place at the Royal Academy of Music in Aalborg (Denmark) from 13-16 January. Teachers from Finland, Denmark, Austria, Spain, Italy, Estonia, Norway, Sweden, Lithuania and Finland participated in the forum. Participants of the forum held workshops, discussed new teaching methods, literature and shared experiences. Pranas Kentra, Head of the Department of Rhythmic Music, Associate Professor and established artist, participated in the Forum and presented his new book “Compositions. Stories, Analyses, and Techniques” and his 2022 work “Double Stops. Study for Jazz Guitarists”, gave masterclasses and performed his compositions. Valdas Grenda, lecturer at the Department of Rhythmic Music, who also participated in the Forum, gave masterclasses on guitar techniques and fast playing.
