Lecturers of the Department of Rhythmic Music participated in the annual conference “Pop & Jazz Platform 2023” organized by the Association of European Conservatories

From 16 th to 18 th February, Pranas Kentra, Head of the Rhythmic Music Department of the Faculty of Arts and Creative Technologies of Vilnius kolegija / Higher Education Institution together with the lecturer Augustas Baronas, participated in the annual conference “Pop & Jazz Platform 2023” organized by the Association of European Conservatories (AEC – Europian Association of Conservatories) in  Saint Louis College in Rome. At the event, much attention was paid to discussions of pedagogical issues, curricula, requirements for entrance exams, international cooperation and new possible international projects. 150 teachers from prestigious European institutes and conservatories participated in the conference. During the meetings, relations with European schools were strengthened, new activities were planned with the heads of schools in the Baltic countries. The intense event was full of cultural encounters, “live” concerts of various styles, from singer-songwriter music to experimental electronic music with the best bands born in the historic school of music in Rome.
