Kinjal Popat, an exchange student from Parul University (India), after graduating from Vilniaus kolegija / Higher Education Institution, Faculty of Arts and Creative Technologies, did an internship in the clothing company JŪRATĖ MANUFAKTŪRA. This company cherishes Lithuanian traditions. The student had the opportunity to get a closer look at old weaving traditions, linen processing tools, clothes from different regions, and a unique weaving technique that combines linen and leather. She worked with the 100-year-old hand-weaving loom on display in the gallery. Weaving was not entirely new to Kindžal. India has a deep tradition in this area, so it was interesting to discover the similarities and differences.
