The Erasmus+ visit of Marius Eidrigevičius, a lecturer at the Department of Cultural Management and Dance Pedagogy, to Portugal

Last academic year, Marius Eidrigevičius, a lecturer at the Department of Cultural Management and Dance Pedagogy, went to Portugal as part of the Erasmus+ programme. He visited the Leiria Polytechnic Institute, which also houses the Faculty of Arts and Design. Marius was hosted by the Head of the department, Professor Ana Sakramento. At that time, an Open Doors Week was taking place, during which students had the opportunity to present various works, installations, musical performances, artworks, and the like. For two days, the lecturer conducted open street dance workshops, during which he shared his knowledge with local students. About 40-50 students attended the workshops, all of them eagerly participating and absorbing all the information.

Marius is delighted with the successful visit, the new acquaintances he made, and the valuable experience that was gained. “Go, step out of the box, out of the computers and the classrooms, out of the offices, travel, because it’s a great opportunity for us to get to know the world better, meet potential partners, and somehow expand. I was very pleased with this experience. When I was a student at Vilniaus kolegija / Higher Education Institution, I didn’t go abroad on the Erasmus exchange programme, and I really regretted it afterwards. I highly recommend it to both students and lecturers, as it also liberates. Such experiences teach us the most about life,” Marius shares his impressions.
