From 6 th to 8th March the lecturers of the Department of Culture Management and Dance Pedagogy of the Faculty of Arts and Creative Technologies, professor dr. Birutė Žygaitienė, lecturer Andrius Guoba and associate professor dr. Inga Kepalienė presented their research on social responsibility in higher education at the 17th International Conference “Technology, Education and Development” (INTED 2023) in Valencia, Spain.

Every year INTED brings together teachers and researchers from various educational institutions, this year about 700 participants from 80 different countries took part in the conference. At the opening of the conference, Antonio Garcia gave a welcome speech on behalf of INTED 2023 organizers. The main speakers of the plenary session: José Antonio Bowen (Association of American Colleges and Universities, USA) and Michael Wesch (Kansas State University, USA) emphasized the importance of inclusive education and the ability to change, mentioned the challenges of the pandemic that we faced and which forced us to change and adapt to changing situations.

Relevant topics of today were analyzed in the conference: innovations in higher education, international projects, pedagogical and didactic innovations, educational research, virtual universities, new technologies in the field of education, computer collaboration, educational software, curriculum development and innovation, education quality assurance, university-industry cooperation, email content management. Speakers of the conference presented reports in parallel sessions: “Quality of Education and Distance Learning”, “Pedagogical Teaching Experience”, “New Technologies in Education”, “New Educational Trends and Challenges”, and interactive seminars were held.

The participants of the conference had the opportunity to take part in an excursion and see the Old Town of Valencia and the impressive Museum of Science and Art.
